Murrumbidgee Council thanks Dr Ismail and welcomes Dr Assem

Murrumbidgee Council has thanked the highly popular Dr Ismail Alhejaj who has officially finished up with the Jerilderie Medical Centre and handed the reins over to Dr Assem Swaid.

Murrumbidgee Mayor Ruth McRae warmly thanked Dr Ismail for his outstanding level of care and extreme generosity to the Jerilderie community.

Cr McRae said Dr Ismail’s contribution to the health and well-being of the Jerilderie community will forever be appreciated.

“He has left the practice in the extremely capable hands of Dr Assem who has already been a part of the Jerilderie Medical Centre for the last two years.

“Dr Assem is already very well-known and well respected in our community. He will continue to take wonderful care of the residents of Jerilderie.

“We are fortunate to have such dedicated health professionals taking care of our community,” Cr McRae said.

The official handover date was 15 July 2019.
