Get involved in managing Darlington Point's flood risk
Murrumbidgee Council is calling on residents who have an interest in the way the risk of flooding is managed in Darlington Point to join the committee overseeing the project.
The Council, with consultants Catchment Simulation Solutions, is currently preparing a Floodplain Risk Management Study and Plan for Darlington Point, which will assess a range of potential measures that may help to manage flood risk with the resources available.
Council’s General Manager John Scarce said it’s important we tap into the extensive community knowledge and experience of flooding, and so are looking for community members to join the committee.
The Committee will have input into the Floodplain Risk Management Study and Plan.
They will meet every two months, depending on milestone progress in the project.
Anyone interested in being part of the Committee, can contact Steve Goodsall at Council on 02 6960 5500.
