Get ready for summer - our local pools are opening!

Local residents can dive into the summer swimming season as the public swimming pools at Coleambally, Darlington Point and Jerilderie are all opening on Tuesday 5 November.

As an extra incentive to take the plunge this year, Murrumbidgee Council has decided to waive pool entry fees for the 2019/20 swimming season.

Murrumbidgee Council Mayor Ruth McRae said our community is really doing it tough with the drought and we want to offer support where we can.

Cr McRae said we’re hopeful this small incentive will encourage our residents to regularly visit the pool.

“It’s not only a fantastic place to escape our summer heat, but it’s a great chance to get some exercise and relax with family and friends,” she said.

The opening hours are Tuesday–Sunday, from 6.00-10.00 am and 1.00-7.00 pm.
