Apprentice Mechanic

Are you passionate about mechanics and looking to kick-start your career? We have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Mechanic commencing January 2025 and we want you to join our team.

Based in either our Darlington Point or Jerilderie workshop, you will work alongside our Plant & Workshop Manager developing your skills while working towards a nationally recognised Cert III qualification in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics. 

Under the mentorship of the Plant & Workshop Manager, and in collaboration with other experienced technicians, you will learn and develop valuable skills in areas such as:

  • Maintaining and repairing heavy vehicles, including brakes, steering and suspension
  • Carrying out non-routine mechanical repairs and servicing on various plant and fleet vehicles
  • Ensuring the fleet is maintained to, and in compliance with fleet management standards, with an emphasis on safety
  • Correct safety protocols and maintaining a clean work environment

The successful candidate

A key requirement for this opportunity is your commitment and motivation to complete your trade over a four-year fixed term. This includes theoretical blocks of training, most likely in Wagga Wagga.
