Apprentice Carpenter

Are you passionate about mechanics and looking to kick-start your career? We have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Mechanic commencing January 2025 and we want you to join our team.

Based in either our Jerilderie workshop, you will work alongside our Building & Maintenance Supervisor developing your skills while working towards a nationally recognised Cert III qualification in Carpentry. 

Under the mentorship of the Building & Maintenance Supervisor, learning and develop valuable skills in areas such as:

  • Gaining hands-on experience in carpentry through on-the-job training with qualified carpenters.
  • Learning various carpentry techniques, such as framing, installing fixtures, measuring, cutting, and assembling materials.
  • Analysing blueprints, codes, and instructions to understand project requirements.
  • Calculating material quantities needed for projects to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Making sure your workmanship is accurate and high-quality in all tasks.

The successful candidate

A key requirement for this opportunity is your commitment and motivation to complete your trade over a four-year fixed term. This includes theoretical blocks of training, most likely in Wagga Wagga.
