Powell Street is only open to local traffic and pedestrians from the IGA Carpark (Eastern end) until after Australia Day.

Our council area is divided into 3 wards, with 3 councillors elected from each ward. The wards are Jerilderie, Murrumbidgee East (Coleambally) and Murrumbidgee (Darlington Point).

Our council was established in May 2016 after the merger of the Jerilderie Shire and the Murrumbidgee Shire Councils.
