Waste collection is as per the Waste Calendar except the 1st week of January: 2 January: recycling collection in Coly and Jerilderie and 3 January: recycling collection in Darlington Point.

As a local council, we work closely with all members of the community, as well as other stakeholders, to strive for a sustainable and positive future for the Murrumbidgee Local Government Area (LGA).
Our council area is divided into 3 wards, with 3 councillors elected from each ward. The wards are Jerilderie, Murrumbidgee East (Coleambally) and Murrumbidgee (Darlington Point).

Our council was established in May 2016 after the merger of the Jerilderie Shire and the Murrumbidgee Shire Councils.
