Council meetings
Council meetings are held 11 times per year, known as 'ordinary meetings'. Councillors and senior staff attend these meetings with staff providing briefings on matters to be considered. The meetings are scheduled for 12 months in September each year. Any meetings that are set in addition to this schedule are called 'extraordinary meetings'.
The meetings are held alternately in Coleambally, Darlington Point and Jerilderie and the public is welcome to attend and sit in the public gallery. They are also live-streamed on the Murrumbidgee Council page.
After each meeting, a recording is made available on our website and on the Murrumbidgee Council YouTube page.

Council Meetings and Getting Involved In Council
Local Government is the tier of Government that is closest to the people. As such, it offers many opportunities for local residents to become involved in it, either in the decision making process or in a more practical hands-on role.
