When your water bills are due

The billing cycles for our water usage fees are quarterly on the following schedule:

  1. August
  2. November
  3. February
  4. May

We send your bill shortly after reading your water meter.

Understanding your bill

Your bill includes the following charges:

  • Opening balance: amount due from the previous billing period
  • Brought forward arrears and rebates: any outstanding amounts carried forward, adjusted for applicable rebates
  • Water Usage Charge: varies based on how much water you use

The pricing structure for water charges

Water usage charges follow a two-tiered system with the first tier covering basic household water consumption of 250kL per annum.

Land which is exempt from ordinary rates under the Local Government Act is not exempt from these charges as the charge is limited to the cost of providing the service to the land (section 503(2) of the Local Government Act).
