Following the success of the inaugural round of heritage funding, which saw six local organisations benefit from grants to conserve, restore and protect historic buildings and sites, the second round is now open for applications.

Murrumbidgee Council Economic Development Manager Kellie Dissegna said the funding opportunity is open to owners and managers of heritage items or properties in a conservation area in the Murrumbidgee Council area.

Ms Dissegna said we are thrilled to have secured this second round of funding through the NSW Government enabling us to allocate these resources locally via a competitive grants process.

“The funding is designed to support various projects, including repairs, maintenance, external painting, signage, front fences, pathways, landscaping and sculptures,” Ms Dissegna said.

“I encourage all heritage property owners and managers to apply. This funding boost represents a valuable financial boost that is often difficult to obtain,” she added.

Successful applicants will be required to match the grant on a dollar-for-dollar basis.

Submissions close at 5 pm on Monday 9 September 2024.
