As a local council, we work closely with all members of the community, as well as other stakeholders, to strive for a sustainable and positive future for the Murrumbidgee Local Government Area (LGA).
Our council area is divided into 3 wards, with 3 councillors elected from each ward. The wards are Jerilderie, Murrumbidgee East (Coleambally) and Murrumbidgee (Darlington Point).
There are various ways to contact us. If you wish to telephone us, call 1300 676 243 and our customer service team will be able to assist you.
Local Government elections are held every 4 years with voting compulsory.
Our council was established in May 2016 after the merger of the Jerilderie Shire and the Murrumbidgee Shire Councils.
Nine councillors are elected to represent the community during each 4 year term of council. You will find their contact details here.
General Manager John Scarce leads the organisation. There are 3 departments in the organisation. This includes details on how to organise a meeting with the General Manager.
