Expressions of interest are being sought from persons or organisations interested in operating the Council swimming pools at Coleambally and Darlington Point for the 2024-25 season.
This fixed term contract will run from 1 November 2024 to 31 March 2025.
Additional information
Council has allocated an amount of $50,000 in management fees per swimming pool. Chemical and pool maintenance costs are borne by Council. Pool contractors also have the opportunity to generate income by holding functions and through profits made at the kiosk.
Council pools have free entry for all patrons.
Responsibilities
- opening and closing the facility
- undertaking daily water testing in accordance with public health guidelines
- maintaining chemical levels according to public health guidelines
- reporting all incidents and maintenance requirements to Council
- cleaning the facilities, including the grounds and amenities, pools, kiosk and ancillary amenities such as seating and concourse areas
- promoting the pool on the respective Facebook swimming pool page and following the Murrumbidgee Council Media and Communication Policy(PDF, 820KB) and Code of Conduct.

- The Coleambally Swimming Pool includes a 25 metre lap and recreational pool, shaded medium pool and shaded toddler's pool. The facility also includes a change rooms, shaded picnic tables and BBQ. Address: Falcon Road, Coleambally.
- The Darlington Point War Memorial Swimming Pool is a lovely country pool with a fun and relaxed atmosphere. It includes a 25 metre lap and recreational pool, shaded medium pool and a shaded toddler's pool. The facility also includes a kiosk, table tennis, change rooms and shaded picnic tables and BBQ. A new splash park is located adjacent to the swimming pool. Address: Stock Street, Darlington Point.
- The Jerilderie Swimming Pool is a new facility, which is extremely popular with locals and visitors. It includes a new 25 metre, 6 lane lap and recreational pool. Children just love the shaded wader's pool, which has lovely water fountains. There are new amenities, shaded seating and a new BBQ. Address: 119 Jerilderie Street, Jerilderie.
Opening hours
The pools are currently open Tuesday to Sunday 6:00 am to 10:00 am and 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm (we are surveying the community for preferred times). They are closed Mondays
